The shop opens in the evening so Bijili used a Ganda light which does not illuminate the place very bright. Since there were no names given to the shop, locals named the shop “Iruttukadai”.
Even today there are now name boards for the Iruttukadai Halwa shop.
There is a dim light used in the shop and there are only 2 packages available. One is the individual ¼ kilo pack and the other is 1 Kilo Pack.
There is a strict prohibition of Cameras and Mobiles at the shop!
But how do they achieve the unique taste?
It is said that the wheat flour used to make the Halwa are powdered by hands not in machines.
And the most important thing is that to make this Halwa the makers do not use any other water other than Thamirabarani water.
