HC Madurai branch questions ASI on Adichanallur excavation report !

The ancient culture of Tamils has always been a debate. Some claim that Tamil is the oldest of all languages and the oldest of the civilisation.

The Keeladi archaeological site, Athirampakkam site, Adichanallur site and many more archaeological sites unravelled the missing links of ancient Tamil culture.

But the centre doesn’t show interest in finding out the true history of India and what was the nature of Indian culture.

The centre has restrained the Keeladi excavation site to further proceed with Amarnath Ramakrishnan who the first to find many artifacts from the excavation

There was a lot of controversies but his transfer was unavoidable.

The same way Adichanallur excavation also gave many human skeletons buried in urns dating back to 1800 BCE.

The excavation in Adichanallur was stopped 16 years back and the reports have not been submitted yet.

Kamaraj from Thoothukudi filed a PIL to continue the excavation in Adhicanallur.

The case was heard by Justice Kripakaran and Sundar have questioned why the excavation report of Adichanallur hasn’t submitted for 16 years

They have also ordered the director of Archaeological Survey of India to submit about all the excavation reports happening in TN and what is the budget allotted for the archaeological expedition in TN by the centre and the state?

What do you think?
