Narendra Modi will be administered the oath of office for a second term as Prime Minister at 7 pm on Thursday, May 30.
President Ram Nath Kovind will administer the oath to the PM and his new Council of Ministers at a ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The President’s house is expected to host around 8,000 people and all of them will be served high tea and dinner after the 7 pm ceremony.
According to reports, the high tea is expected to include lemon tarts, samosas and sandwiches.
The banquet for the dignitaries and guests will include both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
One of the highlights of the dinner menu will be ‘Dal Raisina’, a variant that reportedly takes 8 hours to cook.
Chef Machindra Kasture, a member of Le Club des Chefs, created the signature dish along with his famous Raan-Ali Shaan.
This delicacy was formerly prepared when Rashtrapati Bhavan hosted former US president Barack Obama.
The ceremony will be hosted at the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan instead of the Durbar Hall.
This would be the fourth time a prime minister would take oath at the forecourt instead of the Durbar Hall which can accommodate a gathering of about 400 people.
Many Bollywood celebs including Shahid Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor Anupam Kher have reached Delhi to attend the Ceremony.
Apart from leaders, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have also been invited.
