Kerala Tourism suffers after floods last year

Kerala is known as God’s own country, but last year Kerala floods devasted so many districts in the state.

Kerala is known to be one of the favourite destinations in the south for the tourists.

The state has preserved nature, attracts tourists every year. 13.78 lakh tourists from Tamil Nadu have visited Kerala in the year 2018.

In the previous year 2017, 12.72 lakh tourist has visited Kerala from Tamil Nadu.

But the floods which put apart Kerala last year has affected the tourism in Kerala, tourists hesitate to visit the state after the floods.

50 representatives of Travel, Tourism and Hospitality departments of Kerala State

have boarded Chennai to have a meeting with 200 representatives of Chennai. They have organized an exhibition in Chennai.

And a similar exhibition is organized in Madurai on 28th February to explain tourist places in Kerala are not affected by floods in Kerala.

Kerala Tourism has planned to organize similar exhibitions in Bhubaneswar, Vijayawada, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Lucknow, Indore, Nagpur, Pune, Mumbai.
