The GSAT-31, ISRO’s latest communication satellite was successfully launched by European launch service provider
The satellite was launched from the French Guiana during the early hours of Wednesday.
The GSAT-31 is said to boost the country’s in-orbit communication asset. The satellite operates in Ku band.
And it is designed to expand the VSAT services and other broadcasting requirements.
The satellite enables connectivity to very small aperture terminals for ATM machines, stock exchange and e-governance apps.
It enables the telecommunication application for bulk data transfer and hosts the emerging applications
GSAT-31 provides emergency communications for disaster management support and it is capable of providing DTH applications
The ISRO says GSAT-31 is built to provide seamless communication services for than 15 years.
The satellite was sent to space on Ariane 5 launch vehicle from the European spaceport, French Guiana.
