Mauritius was the number one foreign investor for Foreign Direct Investment in India until last year.
But like Mauritius, another small country has taken a lead in FDI in India and come the first place in FDI in India.
In the current FI, from April 2018 to December 2018 Singapore has made 13 Billion dollars investment in India.
This is a 41% increase in Singapore FDI than in 2017. On the other hand, Mauritius FDI has decreased to 55% than in 2017, only 6 billion dollars of investments have come from Mauritius FDI.
Now, India has attracted 33 billion dollars of FDI this year, a 7% decrease in FDI than in 2017.
Since the FDI has declined this year financial experts say there will be pressure on the value of Indian rupee.
